Bangmot canal is a community-based tourism in Bangkok where it is easy to go. There are shops and travel routes by walking, cycling and cruising for tourists who like leisure, peaceful and causal place, and multicultural with friendly people. In addition, the community opens houses for visiting, tasting and participating in activities through low-carbon tourism.

คาร์บอนต่ำ หมายถึงอะไร

ในปัจจุบันนี้ เรามักจะพบผลจากสภาพภูมิอากาศที่เปลี่ยนแปลง เช่น ปริมาณและความถี่ของฝน เกิดพายุ และน้ำท่วม ซึ่งเกิดจากสภาวะไม่สมดุลทางธรรมชาตินั่นเอง นักวิทยาศาสตร์ได้ค้นพบว่าปริมาณแก๊สคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เพิ่มขึ้นในบรรยากาศอย่างต่อเนื่อง เนื่องจากแก๊สมีการสะสมมากกว่าการถูกนำไปใช้โดยพืช ประกอบกับพื้นที่ป่าถูกทำลายโดยกิจกรรมของมนุษย์และไฟไหม้ป่า จึงขาดตัวดูดซับแก๊สคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ คาร์บอนไดออกไซด์สามารถดูดซับความร้อนทำให้อุณหภูมิของโลกสูงขึ้น นอกจากแก๊สคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์แล้ว ยังมีแก๊สอื่น ๆ อีก เช่น แก๊สไนตรัสออกไซด์ปลดปล่อยจากภาคอุตสาหกรรม และการใช้ปุ๋ย ซึ่งมีศักยภาพในการทำให้โลกร้อนมากกว่าแก๊สคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ถึง 273 เท่า แก๊สมีเทนซึ่งมาจากการย่อยสลายในสภาวะที่ไม่มีออกซิเจน และจากหลุมฝังกลบขยะเป็นต้น แก๊สที่มีสมบัติในการดูดซับความร้อนดังกล่าวเรียกว่าแก๊สเรือนกระจก ซึ่งส่วนใหญ่เกิดจากการเผาไหม้เชื้อเพลิงต่าง ๆ เช่น ถ่านหิน น้ำมัน ในภาคอุตสาหกรรมและการขนส่ง ดังนั้นจึงใช้แก๊สคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์เป็นตัวแทนในการบ่งบอกกิจกรรมต่าง ๆ ที่สามารถทำให้เกิดแก๊สเรือนกระจกและส่งผลให้โลกร้อน ดังนั้น คำว่าคาร์บอนต่ำ ถูกนำมาใช้ในแง่ของการส่งเสริมการลดกิจกรรมที่ทำให้ลดปัญหาโลกร้อนนั่นเอง

Low Carbon : What is the meaning?

Currently, we can see the climate effects such as the intensity and frequency of precipitation, windstorm, and flooding which is unbalanced of nature. Scientists reported the continuous increase in carbon dioxide gas in the atmosphere because the accumulation of this gas is more than plant absorption. In addition, deforestation by human activities and forest fires result in low carbon absorption. Carbon dioxide can absorb heat leading to an increase in the world temperature. Other gases, such as nitrous oxide which is emitted from the industrial sector and fertilizer application has a global warming potential of 273 times of carbon dioxide, and methane gas is emitted from biodegradation under anaerobic conditions and from landfill. Gases that can absorb heat are greenhouse gases. Greenhouse gases mostly emit from fuel combustion such as coal and oil from the industrial and transportation sectors. Thus, carbon dioxide is used to indicate the activities related to greenhouse gases emission and global warming. Thus, low carbon is used to promote the decrease of activities which will decrease the problems from global warming.

ท่องเที่ยวคาร์บอนต่ำ ทำได้อย่างไร

กิจกรรมของมนุษย์สามารถทำให้เกิดการปลดปล่อยแก๊สเรือนกระจกได้ ตัวอย่างเช่น

• การเดินทาง การเดินทางด้วยพาหนะต่าง ๆ จำเป็นต้องใช้น้ำมัน ที่แตกต่างกัน แต่ส่วนใหญ่มักขับเคลื่อนดด้วยน้ำมันแก๊สโซลีน หรือดีเซล นอกจากนี้มีเอทานอล ไบโอดีเซล และไฟฟ้า การได้มาซึ่งเขื้อเพลิงเหล่านี้มีความแตกต่างกันเช่นกัน ซึ่งเกี่ยวข้องกับการใช้พลังงานและทรัพยากร ดังนั้นหากเราเดินทางไปท่องเที่ยวเยี่ยมชมสถานที่ต่าง ๆ ในที่ใกล้ๆ จะใช้น้ำมันน้อย ก็จะปล่อยแก๊สเรือนกระจกน้อยนั่นเอง การเดินทางด้วยรถสาธารณะ การนั่งรถไฟฟ้า ก็จะทำให้ลดการปล่อยแก๊สเรือนกระจกได้มากกว่ารถส่วนตัว และหากเดินก็จะมีการปล่อยคาร์บอนเป็นศูนย์ ดังนั้น หากคนกรุงเทพ มาแวะเที่ยวคลองบางมด ซึ่งบรรยากาศไม่ต่างจากชนบท ก็จะเป็นการท่องเที่ยวคาร์บอนต่ำได้

• กิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยว มีกิจกรรมการท่องเที่ยวที่ช่วยส่งเสริมการท่องเที่ยวคาร์บอนต่ำ เช่น การพายเรือคยัก การเดิน การปั่นจักรยาน การถ่ายรูป ซึ่งไม่มีการปลดปล่อยคาร์บอน

• การรับประทานอาหารและเครื่องดื่ม ที่คลองบางมดแห่งนี้ มีร้านอาหารและร้านค้าต่าง ๆ ที่ใช้ผักและผลไม้ (มะพร้าว) จากพื้นที่ จึงบ่งบอกได้ว่ามีการใช้ทรัพยากรและเชื้อเพลิงต่ำ และเราควรจะไม่ทิ้งอาหารไว้บนจานเพราะจะกลายเป็นของเสียจากอาหารได้

• การซื้อของ เตรียมของส่วนตัวเช่น ถุง แก้ว และกล่องอาหาร เมื่อจับจ่ายสินค้า จะช่วยโลกในการลดถุงพลาสติก บางร้านยังลดราคาให้เมื่อนำแก้วน้ำส่วนตัวมาเอง

• การแยกขยะ การจัดการขยะที่ดีสามารถช่วยชุมชนได้ ในการส่งของเสียไปยังที่ที่ถูกต้อง เช่น นำไปหมักแป็นปุ๋ย หรือการนำกลับไปใช้ใหม่

Low carbon tourism, How to?

• Transportation Every type of vehicle uses a different kind of fuel. The majority of motor vehicles are powered by gasoline or diesel. Other energy sources include ethanol, biodiesel, and electricity. Acquisition of these fuels also has different routes which are related to energy and resource consumption. Thus, if we go to visit the places near our houses will use low fuel leading to low greenhouse gas emissions. The use of public transportation such as buses or trains could reduce more greenhouse gases than private cars. Walking emits zero carbon. Hence, Bangkokian visit to the Bang Mot canal, which is likely a rural area, is one kind of low-carbon tourism.

• Tourism activity There are many activities that promote low-carbon tourism such as kayaking, walking, cycling, and photographing which are zero carbon emissions.

• Eat & Drink Here, at Bang Mot canal, many restaurants and shops use local vegetables and fruit (coconut). This indicates the use of low resources and fuels. We should also not leftover food on our dishes which will be food waste.

• Shopping Prepare your private bag, cup, and food box when you are shopping will help the world in decreasing plastic bags. Some shops also discount the price when you use your private cup.

• Waste sorting Well solid waste management can help the community in sending the waste to the right place such as for composting or recycling.
