The 28th KMUTT RETREAT, held in April 2024 under the theme “BANG KHUN TIEN NEXT: The Future of KMUTT Bang Khun Thien,” served as a high-level strategic brainstorming session for the University Council. The objective was to provide a platform for senior executives and administrators to share insights, perspectives, and recommendations for the future operational development of KMUTT.
KMUTT Bang Khun Thien serves as the expansion campus of KMUTT Bang Mot, covering a total area of 538,376 square meters. The campus comprises the following units:
Academic Units:
School of Architecture and Design (SoA+D): Produces graduates in architecture and design through the integration of art and technology.
School of Bioresources and Technology (SBT): Develops researchers in the fields of biological sciences and engineering.
Industrial and Innovation Support Units:
Pilot Plant Development and Training Institute (PDTI): Provides comprehensive R&D services to facilitate commercialization and offers professional engineering services.

BKT R&D Cluster: A collaborative network of multiple units within the Bang Khun Thien campus. It utilizes the PBBS (Pilot Plant and Building Services) system for resource sharing while integrating research with teaching and learning.
National Biopharmaceutical Facility (NBF): The country’s first biopharmaceutical pilot plant, specializing in the production of biopharmaceuticals, vaccines, and high-value medical substances.
SAI (Strategic Advisory and Industry Service Center) offers a comprehensive range of services:
Pilot Plant Equipment Services: Access to industrial-scale machinery and pilot plant facilities for testing and production.
Scientific Instrumentation Services: Specialized laboratory tools and high-precision scientific instruments for detailed analysis.

Mangrove Forest Areas: Vital ecosystems that play a crucial role in local ecological balance and biodiversity.
Low-Carbon Energy Zones: Areas dedicated to sustainability, such as the Renewable Energy Garden.

Expansion Areas: KMUTT is planning to develop 136 rai of land donated by Pruksa Real Estate Public Company Limited. The goal is to establish a Research, Development, and Innovation Hub that will drive national economic and social benefits while serving as a learning center for students and the surrounding community.
